The Fredrick Ullmer Co. in London acted as agent for many typefoundries, and this was one of their offerings. Some of the letters were rather outlandish, so we fearless decided to improve them. The result is this dated but pleasant font.

Mechanized JNL is a solid interpretation of Jeff Levine’s stencil font Trencher JNL. Both fonts were based on a photo of hand-cut stencils found on a 1940’s trenching machine in the collection of the Marine Corps Mechanized Museum at Camp Pendleton, California.

The objective of this font was to try and find out how far back in the designer’s life this obsession with letters began. The challenge was to draw, from memory only, two sets of caps that recall older Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies lettering.
The experiment was a success, which means that the designer’s got it bad since he was, like, four!
The Marvin set includes three stylistic variations (Regular, Round and Shadow), with extensive multi-script language support covering Western, Central and Eastern European languages, as well as Cyrillic, Greek and Vietnamese.
A few extra alternates and interlocking ligatures are also included, all adding up to over 650 characters in each font. More…

Yet another one of those romantic looking fonts. The lowercase looks pretty ordinary, while the uppercase swings around with a mixture of tagging / grunge / comicscript and casual handwriting. Louize is a contemporary revival of the ‘Augustaux’ designed by Louis Perrin between 1846 and 1855, and considered as the first revival in the history of typography. Louize mixes roman square capitals with a set of transitional / old style / incised lower case, carefully made for comfortable reading in long texts.
Its Roman styles have small caps, while italics are completed with swash capitals. All styles offer the signs needed for European languages written in Latin script. Hence the large amount of 5985 glyphs, distributed between the 6 styles (Regular, Medium, Bold and their italics).

Liquorice Twist is a light-hearted fun font which developed from some hand drawn text designed to accompany and be integrated with some ‘Zen Doodling’ art that someone had drawn. It is very informal and unconventional, with the glyphs created using unusual and loose ‘rules’.
Linotype Syntaxâ„¢ Letter is reminiscent of the style of the Roman Rustic capitals and is an earthy, almost snappy companion to the other Linotype Syntaxâ„¢ typefaces. Instead of subtly expressing the rhythmic dynamism of handwritten letters, this face is more overt about its connections to writing movements, such as the lead-in and exiting terminals, and the organic branching of round strokes from main stems.
Linotype Syntax Letter was designed especially for office communications, and it does add a warmer, more personal touch to such documents — while still combining nicely with the more formal Syntax relatives.
